Mischer’s Mark Kilkenny Honored by GHBA as “Developer Of the Year”
The Greater Houston Builder’s Association recently announced the 2016 “Of the Year Awards” for the home building and development industry and Mischer Executive Vice President of Development and Government Affairs Mark Kilkenny was named Developer Of the Year. Kilkenny was honored at the GHBA’s 2017 Installation Celebration on January 28, 2017 at River Oaks Country Club.
Kilkenny has been heavily involved with the Developers Council, Government Affairs Committee, and HOME-PAC for a number of years. He has served on many GHBA task force groups, as well as local commissions. This past year, when the EPA proposed its devastating Waters of the US rule, this developer led the call to challenge the agency for its over-reaching and onerous actions by creating a local stakeholder group, TARGET. GHBA is a proud member of TARGET and followed this developer’s direction as other stakeholders joined together to fight the EPA. Our association is indebted to this developer’s leadership and service.
In addition to the Developer Of the Year award, the GHBA also recognized the following 2016 “Of the Year Awards”:
Young Professional Of the Year: Adam Aschmann, Tilson Home Corporation
Bud Inscho Associate Of the Year: Debbie Page, 1st Infiniti Enterprises
Custom Builder Of the Year: Matt Sneller, Sneller Custom Homes and Remodeling
Remodeler Of the Year: Stephen McNeil, Creative Property Restoration
Builder Of the Year: Lennar/Village Builders
The annual “Of the Year” award winners are selected by industry peers.
